Overview
CANDU Energy Inc./Atkins
Réalis Nuclear Inc. is seeking a qualified Senior Civil Designer to support engineering on nuclear projects, including new builds in Ontario, international new builds, refurbishment, and continuous plant operation support modifications.
Your Role
This fast‑paced, technically complex position involves design, modification, coordination, and review of civil and building systems. Typical duties include:
Reviewing existing building status, performing site take‑offs.
Assisting in developing designs and technical specifications for heating, air conditioning, ventilation, boilers, plumbing, chilled water, building controls, and related systems.
Sharing knowledge with colleagues across multiple projects.
Preparing drawings and construction documents.
Coordinating system requirements with the electrical department, architects, and relevant authorities.
Conducting site visits and inspections to review construction progress.
About You
College diploma or equivalent work experience with a minimum of 10 years in mechanical design and drafting.
Proficient in Revit; extensive experience in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Raster Design, AutoCAD Plant 3D, Smart Plant 3D/Smart, Micro Station, Navisworks Manage, and Tekla.
Ability to incorporate marked‑up engineering drawings into AutoCAD files.
ASME Code knowledge is an asset.
Excellent interpersonal skills for team collaboration and independent work.
