Location: Mississauga, ON, Canada (onsite)
Hourly Pay Range: $22 to $24 per hour

As our next Jr. Engineering Specialist (Co-op), you will be assisting in various needs within the Test Engineering department, including prototype builds, inspection, testing, and reporting.

What You’ll Be Doing:
Support Test Lab team and other Product Development team members on daily engineering tasks
Support Engineering testing needs and develop tools for efficient test setup.
Support the design and test of engineering prototypes.
Support the root cause analysis of component failures.
Technical report writing
Hands-on support of components and testing
Support the development and deployment of test equipment and fixtures.
Work in compliance with Johnson Electric Motion Technology Canada Safety, Quality, and Environmental systems
Work in compliance with Johnson Electric Motion Technology Canada Production System
Interaction with production operators, technicians, and other key resources to assist with the documentation, standardization, and improvement of processes.
What We’re Looking For:
Working toward an engineering degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
Welcome both candidates from both Undergraduate Co-op Program and Graduate Co-op Program
Mechanical aptitude
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
Independent and self-motivated worker.
Committed to meeting deadline requirements.
Able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
Willing and able to multi-task and change priorities based on organizational needs.
Strong ability to use Microsoft Office Software.
Able to work at a computer for extended periods of time.
“Can Do” attitude.
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
Willingness to be involved in hands-on projects in the plant.
