Structural Engineer - Buildings

We are currently looking for a Structural Engineer who will support our growing Buildings group. This is a hybrid role that could be based out of either our Bowmanville office or Mississauga offices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and analysis of structural components for building projects.
• Prepare structural drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Work with the buildings team in the preparation of project documentation, proposals, and construction schedules.
• Conduct site visits and assist with inspections to ensure structural integrity and adherence to design drawings and specifications. Prepare site visit reports to track construction progress and deficiencies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
• Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and evaluate project timelines.
• Ensure compliance with all local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in the building sector.
• License Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) from PEO. Candidates who are in the process of obtaining their P.Eng. license or are nearing completion of the requirements may also be considered.
• Knowledge of structural analysis software and design tools (e.g., SAP
  2000, or similar).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle (for site visits, as required).
• Experience in aviation, defence, or federal industries are assets
