Job Description
AECOM is seeking a
Health & Safety Specialist (H&S Incident Investigation Specialist) - Airport to join our team. This position is based on-site, out of Mississauga. We are seeking professionals to join our team to help us build one of the most advanced, sustainable and passenger-friendly airports in the world. This position is for a newly created position.
Major Requirements:
The successful candidate will report to the H&S Manager.
To perform this role successfully, the individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Oversees investigations of all recordable incidents and near-misses to identify contributing factors and root causes to prevent a reoccurrence
Identifies, communicates, and implements lessons learned across the program
Promotes awareness of safety hazards and due diligence in resolving safety-related risks via communications, resourcefulness, and transparency
Manages, develops, and promotes the health and safety management system
Oversees and monitors the implementation of construction safety requirements at the program level
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors degree plus 8 years of direct on-site safety management experience and health and safety practices or Diploma/certificate + 10 years or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Requirement:
Diploma/certificate in health and safety, or equivalent training and experience
Minimum 10 years of direct on-site safety management experience and health and safety practices
Extensive experience in airport development construction projects
Injury management experience
Field safety auditing and investigation experience
Analytical and problem-solving skills to examine incidents and problems, detect root causes, and resolve issues
Additional Information
Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $108051.21 to $158051.21.
