Adecco is currently seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator for a full-time, permanent opportunity in Mississauga, ON.
In this role, you will lead and support education initiatives that empower clinical teams to deliver safe, high-quality palliative care. This position plays a key role in developing competency-based education programs, mentoring staff, and driving best practices across clinical teams.
  • Pay rate: $90,000 - $110,000 per year
  • Location: Mississauga, ON
  • Schedule: Variable schedule (may require weekday and weekend work)

Responsibilities
  • Plans, delivers, and evaluates competency-based orientation and continuing education programs.
  • Conducts needs assessments, provides recommendations, and plans and implements education programs with a collaborative approach that supports strategic objectives, innovation, and evidence-based practice.
  • Provides education support and mentorship to create a one-team approach for safe, high-quality care.
  • Identifies opportunities, challenges, and proactive solutions to support educational needs related to new workflows and policies.
  • Identifies strategies to support clinical teams in working at their full scope of practice.
  • Empowers teams to share best practices and develop new competencies in areas such as palliative care and leadership.
  • Supports Best Practice Spotlight Organization (BPSO) activities and initiatives.
  • Collaborates with managers, staff teams, and external partners to identify learning needs and implement strategies to meet them.
  • Acts as a resource for staff in identifying and meeting their learning needs.
  • Coordinates student clinical placements with Department Managers and educational institutions.
  • Creates learning environments that support professional growth and accountability in clinical, classroom, and simulation settings.
  • Monitors and evaluates the integration of learning into clinical practice through documentation audits and review of learning management system usage.
  • Partners with management to establish recommendations and improvement plans for clinical excellence.
  • Provides coaching and mentoring to staff and addresses quality and risk issues in a timely and constructive manner.
  • Participates effectively with internal and external partners.
  • Keeps up to date with trends in health care, professional practice, legislation, and education.
  • Promotes staff well-being through mental health education, debriefing, and other supports.
  • Designs learning content that incorporates adult learning principles and a variety of formats to support diverse learners.
Qualifications
  • Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada
  • Bachelor's degree required;
    Master's degree preferred (or in progress).
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Completion of Fundamentals of Palliative Care, LEAP, and/or CAPCE.
  • CNA Hospice Palliative Care certification preferred or commitment to complete within the first year.
  • Minimum 5 years of palliative care experience preferred.
  • 2+ years' experience in a nursing educator role required.
  • Consultative, team-based management style with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Positive approach to education with demonstrated empathy.
  • Strong nursing skills and the ability to learn and teach new clinical procedures.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of adult education principles.
  • Experience designing curriculum and creating engaging learning management system content.
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Proven commitment to evidence-based and reflective practice.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with coaching and mentoring experience.
  • Comfortable with mobile technology and documentation systems.
  • Ability to lead during times of change and role-model effective change management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft-based computer programs.
