309H5 F - Experimental Design and Theory
You will learn how to interpret and critically evaluate psychological research, including the strengths and limitations of different research designs. You will learn to propose new research, including literature review, hypothesis formulation, anticipated results, and pre-specified analysis planning. Finally, you will also practice presenting your work in a virtual conference setting.
Prerequisites: PSY
202H5 (or equivalent) and 1.0 credit in PSY at the 200 level

Salary (In accordance with CUPE 3902 Unit 3 Collective Agreement):
$9,820.70 for Sessional Lecturer I
$10,510.04 for Sessional Lecturer I - Long Term
$10,510.04 for Sessional Lecturer II
$10,760.28 for Sessional Lecturer II - Long Term
$10,760.28 for Sessional Lecturer Ill
$11,030.36 for Sessional Lecturer III - Long Term
Stipend rates are inclusive of vacation pay. Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective
agreement vary from rates in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.
Qualifications:
The candidate must have a Ph.D degree or be in the final stages of a PhD. The decision on hiring
will be based on previous teaching experience in this course or other similar courses, academic qualifications and
suitability for the position.
Description of duties:
Preparation and delivery of course content; creation of course material, development and
administration of assignments, tests and examinations; the supervision of teaching assistants for leading tutorials
and grading and marking student work; submission of final grades to appropriate University officials in accordance
with policy; the maintenance of reasonable hours for student contact outside of scheduled contact hours.
