We are seeking a Retail Business Development Manager with expertise in driving growth and profitability within the retail sector. The role involves developing strategic partnerships, expanding market share, increasing customer base, and optimizing sales performance.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute retail business development strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Identify emerging market trends and opportunities in industrial distribution and retail channels.
  • Create and implement a marketing plan for our retail stores in collaboration with key stakeholders (Division Directors, Regional Sales Directors, Marketing, eBusiness, Product Department).
  • Collaborate with marketing to plan local campaigns, promotions, and in‑store events.
  • Drive new account acquisition and strengthen existing partnerships to maximize revenue.
  • Lead and mentor a team of sales associates, fostering a high‑performance culture.
  • Set clear objectives, monitor KPIs, and ensure accountability for results.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and coaching sessions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners and stakeholders.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements for mutual profitability.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing insights and tailored solutions.
  • Participate in field meetings and ride‑along sessions to understand client needs.
  • Develop annual sales forecasts and budgets for the retail segment.
  • Manage inventory, product forecasting, stock turns, and expiration dates.
  • Monitor performance metrics, analyze data, and implement corrective actions.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to inform strategic decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in industrial distribution, retail sales, or business development.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and managing both small and large accounts.
  • Strong leadership and team‑management skills within a retail environment.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills at all organization levels.
  • Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage complex projects.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics, SAP) and data analytics tools.
  • Self‑starter capable of performing in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
