Job Description:

Our public accounting client, based in Mississauga, is seeking a motivated CPA-designated Accountant with public accounting experience to support compilation engagements and tax filings in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Candidates can expect to be working overtime on a regular basis, and will be compensated for these excess hours.

Working directly with the Partners and clients, the Tax Accountant will have the following responsibilities:

- Prepare compilation engagements and corporate/personal tax filings

- Communicate directly with clients and the CRA to resolve accounting and tax matters

- Identify accounting and tax issues and provide practical, client-focused solutions

- Effectively utilize Case Ware, Tax Prep, and Quick Books

- Support peak-period workloads, including overtime as required

Job Requirements:

- CPA designation

- Minimum 3+ years of public accounting experience

- “Experience with Canadian tax regulations (CRA, GST/HST, T-slips) is required”

- Strong communication and client-facing skills

- Hands-on experience with Case Ware, Tax Prep, and Quick Books

- Proven ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment
