Overview:

The Finance Department Limited (TFDL) specializes in the Strategic Placement of Accounting & Finance Professionals on a Contract or Permanent basis. For over 25 years, TFDL has been successfully servicing a select group of clients, providing them with the best Intermediate-to-Senior level talent in the industry. (BMH3xR1)
Our client is looking for a professional accountant to assist with the month end close process and the preparation of management report for the contract duration. This role reports to the Director Financial Shared Services.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and monitor company accounting records ensuring compliance with company accounting policies
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts,
  • Reconcile misc. receivable accounts including warranty, manufacturing discount, care inspection
  • Reconcile GRIR account (goods received, invoices received)
  • Account analysis proactively focusing on operating expense review
  • Prepare working papers and schedules for year-end audit
  • Support the preparation of financial statements
  • Communicate and correspond with sales and branch operations managers, senior management, and the parent company finance team
  • Support the annual budgeting process
  • Support CORE (new ERP implementation) with tasks as required
  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Assist with monthly and annual reporting requirements
  • Maintain internal controls processes and systems
  • Prepare reports and ad hoc analyses for local and parent company
  • Other tasks and projects assigned
  • Qualifications:

  • Pursuing CPA
  • University business degree
  • 3+ years of general accounting experience
  • Strong MS Excel with ability to manipulate high volume data and easily perform functions like Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP
  • Working experience with ERP systems
  • Adhere to deadlines, and prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent planning, organization, and interpersonal and communications skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, as well as the ability to work independently and take initiative
