Sr Software Engineer

Position Purpose / Objective

This role will support Stratasys in building the most advanced SaaS offering for 3D printing and additive manufacturing. The position focuses on the Research and Development Engineering team that builds IoT / SaaS products. Daily work will be as part of a scrum team working in a continuous integration environment.

• Technical Design and Build (40%) – Build and deliver IoT and SaaS applications and platforms in the field of 3D printing and additive manufacturing; design and implement software with the goal of maximizing reliability, correctness, ease of use, maintenance, testability and performance.
• Test and Verification (30%) – Troubleshoot, diagnose, maintain and enhance existing software features and capabilities; improve overall product infrastructure and reliability by creating sound designs, robust implementations and appropriate unit and regression tests.
• Collaboration (20%) – Perform design and code reviews for team members; collaborate with product managers, system engineers, application engineers and other software engineers to solve tough problems in additive manufacturing.
• Other (10%) – Follow all company safety policies and procedures; maintain a clean and organized lab environment; attend required company training; demonstrate commitment to Stratasys purpose, mission and values by leading, acting and modeling.

• Four Year Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a similar field.
• High School Diploma or equivalent (not required).

• 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering with a bachelor’s degree; or 3 years with a Master’s degree.
• Working knowledge of CSS and HTML.
• Demonstrated ability to work in an engineering team environment and clearly communicate technical status of assigned projects.
• Demonstrated ability to write testable, resilient code, with effective unit and integration tests and meaningful documentation.
• Strong and effective verbal and written English communication skills.

• Experience with backend development.
• Experience using Microsoft .NET and Microsoft development tools and environment (C# preferred).
• Experience in developing software for manufacturing.
• Understanding of 3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing.
