The Mission Valley Kubota Technician Shadow Program is designed to provide students and aspiring technicians with practical, hands‑on experience in the agricultural and construction equipment industry
.

Participants will work alongside Certified Kubota Technicians
, gaining real‑world exposure to diagnostics, maintenance, and repair procedures for a wide range of tractors, loaders, mowers, and utility equipment
. This program helps trainees build foundational technical skills, learn shop safety, and understand industry‑standard practices — all in a professional and supportive environment.

Objectives:
  • Gain real‑world exposure to Kubota equipment and service operations
  • Learn key technical skills under the mentorship of certified technicians
  • Become familiar with tools, equipment, and safety procedures specific to heavy and compact equipment
  • Observe troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance practices in action
  • Learn how to work efficiently within a professional service team
Duration:
  • 1–4 weeks (depending on trainee goals and availability)
  • Flexible scheduling available
Ideal Candidates:
  • Students enrolled in or recently graduated from a diesel, agricultural, or mechanical technology program
  • Individuals interested in pursuing a career as a Kubota or equipment technician
  • Dependable, detail‑oriented, and motivated to learn hands‑on skills
  • Must be able to lift up‑to 50lbs
Program Outline Week 1:
Orientation and Introduction
  • Overview of Mission Valley Kubota, safety policies, and service operations
  • Introduction to shop tools, diagnostic equipment, and service bays
  • Observe routine maintenance and inspection procedures
  • Assist with basic service tasks such as fluid checks, filter replacements, and equipment cleaning
  • Learn about service documentation, parts ordering, and workflow organization
Week 3:
Advanced Observation and Troubleshooting
  • Observe advanced diagnostics and complex repair processes
  • Understand how technicians identify and solve real‑world equipment challenges
Week 4:
Review and Evaluation
  • Technician mentor reviews trainee progress and provides feedback
  • Discussion of potential career paths, next steps, and certification opportunities
