The work of the Faith and Mission Leader is founded on the vision and mission of Christ, is given impetus by the College Mission Understanding, the College motto, love one another as I have loved you and an unwavering commitment to nurturing the whole person; their cognitive, spiritual, physical, emotional and social selves, thus ensuring that everyone flourishes and has every opportunity to be the best they can be, with God’s grace.
The Faith and Mission Leader shares responsibility for the implementation of the School Improvement Plan (SIP) and will lead aspects of the work, either at a team or whole school level.
A key component of this leadership role is building the capacity of individual staff, and fostering the collective efficacy of teams and the school community through collaboration and shared work, effective use of data and feedback, research, professional observation, mentoring, coaching and reflective practice.
Through the Religious Education program and learning across the curriculum; in prayer, reflection and liturgical experiences; and through symbols, art and outreach, the Faith and Mission Leader createsan environment where faith is explored, nurtured, enlivened and sustained. The Faith and Mission Leader provides opportunities for students and staff to engage in the ongoing dialogue between faith and life, and in deepening their understanding of faith, scripture and the Catholic tradition.
