Overview

Responsibilities
  • Lead hands‑on maintenance and repair work across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and painting systems.
  • Coordinate daily maintenance tasks, prioritize work orders, and monitor work quality.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for maintenance issues, vendor support, and emergency responses.
  • Maintain maintenance logs, work order documentation, and preventive maintenance records.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards, OSHA requirements, and PDI policies.
  • Support facility operations during emergencies and urgent maintenance needs.
  • Operate and maintain machine shop equipment and oversee fleet maintenance schedules.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of general facility maintenance experience.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and independent leadership skills.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office and maintenance work‑order software).
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable attendance.
  • Background working with people with disabilities (preferred).
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience as a Maintenance Manager or Senior Maintenance Technician.
  • Vocational training or trade certifications.
  • First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Experience coordinating projects and working with vendors.
  • Knowledge of fire inspections and OSHA safety requirements.
Skills & Abilities
  • Technical reading and writing of documents, manuals, and reports.
  • Strong math and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to design or modify equipment as needed.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
  • Based at PDI’s main facility.
  • May be exposed to chemicals, fumes, noise, and outdoor conditions.
  • Protective gear may be required at times.
  • Regularly lift/move up to 50 lbs, occasionally up to 100 lbs with help.
  • Frequent bending, standing, crawling, climbing, and use of hands/tools.
Schedule & Travel
  • Full‑time, exempt position.
  • Hours may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Extensive local travel required; occasional overnight travel possible.
