Overview

Responsibilities- Lead hands‑on maintenance and repair work across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and painting systems.
- Coordinate daily maintenance tasks, prioritize work orders, and monitor work quality.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for maintenance issues, vendor support, and emergency responses.
- Maintain maintenance logs, work order documentation, and preventive maintenance records.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards, OSHA requirements, and PDI policies.
- Support facility operations during emergencies and urgent maintenance needs.
- Operate and maintain machine shop equipment and oversee fleet maintenance schedules.
- 5+ years of general facility maintenance experience.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and independent leadership skills.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office and maintenance work‑order software).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable attendance.
- Background working with people with disabilities (preferred).
- Prior experience as a Maintenance Manager or Senior Maintenance Technician.
- Vocational training or trade certifications.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- Experience coordinating projects and working with vendors.
- Knowledge of fire inspections and OSHA safety requirements.
- Technical reading and writing of documents, manuals, and reports.
- Strong math and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to design or modify equipment as needed.
- Based at PDI’s main facility.
- May be exposed to chemicals, fumes, noise, and outdoor conditions.
- Protective gear may be required at times.
- Regularly lift/move up to 50 lbs, occasionally up to 100 lbs with help.
- Frequent bending, standing, crawling, climbing, and use of hands/tools.
- Full‑time, exempt position.
- Hours may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Extensive local travel required; occasional overnight travel possible.
