The RoleWe are looking for a QA Engineer (Manual) to join our engineering team. This is a hands‑on position for someone who cares deeply about product quality, user experience, and reliability in a regulated fintech environment. You will collaborate closely with product, engineering, and customer‑facing teams to define, execute, and improve test practices across web and mobile platforms.
Mission- Ensure product releases meet high standards of quality, security, and compliance without slowing delivery cadence.
- Act as the team's advocate for end‑user experience and risk mitigation through rigorous manual testing and clear reporting.
- Test Strategy & Planning: Design and maintain test plans, test cases, and checklists for web and mobile features, prioritising risk‑based coverage and regulatory requirements.
- Manual Testing Execution: Execute exploratory, functional, regression, and acceptance testing across different environments and devices. Reproduce, triage, and track defects with clear reproduction steps and impact analysis.

Collaboration:
Work with Product Managers, Developers, and Support to define acceptance criteria, participate in grooming sessions, and provide early quality feedback during discovery. - Release & Verification: Validate releases in staging and production (when required), perform smoke tests, and sign off on readiness for deployment according to release gates.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain test documentation, produce actionable bug reports, and communicate quality metrics and release risk to stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to improving QA processes, introduce practical checklists and heuristics, and collaborate with engineers to increase testability and automation coverage over time.
- Practical
Experience:
5+ years in manual QA within mobile product teams, preferably in fintech or other regulated domains. - Testing
Skills:
Strong hands‑on experience with exploratory, functional, regression and acceptance testing. Comfortable creating and executing clear, reproducible test cases. - Technical Understanding: Familiarity with APIs, basic backend concepts, and CI/CD practices enough to validate integrations and communicate effectively with engineers.
- Tooling: Experience with bug‑tracking and test‑management tools (e.g., Jira). Basic knowledge of mobile device testing and browser devtools is required.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal English. The ability to present findings concisely to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Mindset: Detail‑oriented, pragmatic, and collaborative. You prioritise risk and impact, and you are comfortable saying "not ready" when quality is at stake.
- Defect Reduction: Clear reduction in production incidents related to areas you own and demonstrable improvements in pre‑release defect detection.
- Release Confidence: Consistent, timely sign‑offs on releases with transparent risk assessment and minimal post‑release hotfixes.
