Job BriefMaster Data Management Specialist Customer Data Migration Governance
Overview- Support the consolidation, cleansing and standardization of customer account data from multiple legacy sources to create a single accurate master dataset for migration into our new Salesforce CRM platform while adhering to strong data governance frameworks to ensure ongoing data quality and integrity.
- The new unified platform will support the vision of being large-scale AI‑ready by 2027 as part of the Green Up plan.
- Master Data professional with expertise in data quality, deduplication and MDM principles.
- Strong understanding of CRM systems particularly Salesforce and data migration best practices.
- Analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders and document processes.
- Self‑motivated and able to work independently while coordinating with internal teams.
- Data Assessment & Profiling:
Analyze existing customer data across all source systems, identify data quality issues, duplicates, inconsistencies, and gaps. - Data Cleansing Strategy:
Execute comprehensive data cleansing methodology including deduplication, standardization protocols and validation criteria based on predefined business rules. - Data Consolidation:
Merge customer records from multiple sources using matching algorithms and business rules to create golden records. - Salesforce Preparation:
Structure cleaned data according to Salesforce data model requirements and prepare migration‑ready datasets. - Quality Assurance:
Implement validation checks, conduct data quality audits, and ensure accuracy before migration. - Documentation:
Create, monitor and modify detailed process documentation, data dictionaries, transformation rules, quality management system documents and migration playbooks. - Stakeholder
Collaboration:
Work closely with internal teams to resolve data conflicts, validate business rules and ensure alignment with business requirements. - Training & Knowledge Transfer:
Provide guidance to internal resources on data governance best practices and ongoing data maintenance.
- Salesforce certifications:
Administrator, Data Architecture and Management, Designer. - Certifications in data management: CDMP, DGSP or data quality.
- Experience with data governance tools and platforms.
- Knowledge of GDPR data privacy regulations and compliance requirements.
- Previous consulting or external resource experience in similar initiatives.
- Experience with data profiling tools.
- Reporting:
This role will report to the Sr Director. - Travel: approx 20% of time may be spent travelling for onsite workshops or similar.
