Monday - Thursday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (Up to 27 hours per week, depending on department needs)
Provides accurate, courteous, and efficient support to all members of the Human Resources & Organizational Development (HR/OD) Division and, as the primary initial contact, provides accurate information and excellent customer service to applicants, employees, former employees, and others who call, email, or visit the HR/OD Division. Protects the applicant, employee, and former employee’s confidentiality and privacy. Demonstrates respect for people as individuals and shows a commitment to providing a welcoming, supportive, and inclusive environment.
No teleworking is associated with this position.
- Perform general administrative duties such as responding to routine inquiries, filing, routing mail, maintaining office equipment and supplies, submitting work orders, reserving conference rooms, and ensuring cleanliness of the building.
- Serve as the primary greeter for visitors, directing them to the appropriate HR/OD team member while safeguarding confidentiality.
- Compose and type correspondence, reports, and other documents.
- Provide professional and courteous assistance in‑person, via email, and by phone to people with routine inquiries.
- Represent the division professionally and maintain complete confidentiality regarding applicants, employees, and former employees.
- Contribute to the College Vision, Mission, Values, and RISE statement.
- Support workforce diversity in all its aspects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Associate’s degree.
- One year of part‑time or equivalent experience performing administrative duties.
- Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Office Systems Technology, or Business Administration.
- Experience working in human resources at a college or university.
- Proficiency in a foreign language such as Spanish, an East Slavic language, or American Sign Language.
Applicants must upload transcripts that correlate to the degree requirement in the minimum or preferred qualifications. The transcript must show individual courses taken and the degree conferred or awarded. Diplomas or copies of degrees are not acceptable in place of a transcript.
- For those selected for hire, official sealed transcripts from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education must be received at least two business weeks before the first day of work.
- Transcripts from outside the United States must be accompanied by an evaluation from a NACES‑recognized agency and received by Human Resources at least two weeks before the first day of work.
Failure to comply may result in the withdrawal of the job offer.
