- Maintain knowledge of the functions, operation and mission of the Behavioral Health Technician and Behavioral Health Technician Supervisor roles.
- Outstanding interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching and development skills.
- Ongoing demonstrated ability to develop Behavioral Health Technicians.
- Knowledge of 245 statutes, MDH statues, and all other governing bodies.
- Excellent organizational management skills.
- Practice a high level of confidentiality.
- Fill in at the site in the absence of a Technician Supervisor.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Successfully complete a background study.
- Free of chemical use problems for at least one year immediately preceding hire date and sign a statement attesting to that fact.
- Must be eighteen years old. CPR and 1st Aid certified or willing to participate in courses provided by NBH.
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office and internet research.
- Physical ability to perform the responsibilities of the position which include bending, stooping, sitting, walking, and lifting at least 30 pounds.
Previous experience in human services and/or healthcare environment as related to position responsibilities. Direct client care experience with chemical dependency treatment and rehabilitation.
