Alternate Maintenance Manager; M​/F

You will work with the functional area managers including the General Manager, responsible for Site maintenance that Incorporates Fixed, Mobile plant and Outside services and relieve Maintenance HOD when required team.

• Work as part of the compagny management team representing Maintenance to produce high quality deliverables that meet the needs.
• Manage a multidiscipline Maintenance engineering team that includes outside services, MV LV Electrical Instrumentation Boiler making and Mechanical Maintenance
• Responsible for review, scrutiny and if required modification of scheduling activities and setting work priorities.
• Responsible for a wide range of quality reviews on all forms of maintenance
• Ensure work that is prepared under your supervision is in strict compliance with all applicable local, state and federal legislation and codes, best practice professional engineering standards compagny policies, safety codes and codes of conduct.
• Provide input to proposals, quotations, studies, design criteria, reports, preliminary designs.
• Make decisions and recommendations around the Maintenance standards, and engineering methods.
• Report engineering compliance issues within the technical specification, best practice engineering standards and prevailing legislation requirements, and make recommendations to appropriate site management for correction.
• Review, investigate and develop recommendations for the planned engineering.
• Supervise and monitor designated engineering practices for the site.
• Evaluate vendors’ bids and administer contracts with vendors for the provision of services and equipment where required at the compagny.
• Provide guidance and counsel to site management on applicable programs, practices.
• Contribute to site strategic planning and budgeting efforts for designated engineering areas as related to the compagny.
• Ensure compagny SHE objectives are embodied in Maintenance Team
• Support the implementation of processes, systems and practices,
• Ensure systems are being applied in Maintenance management to control and accurately monitor key deliverables and schedules.
• Ensure appropriate and qualified personnel are in place and organized in an efficient and effective manner to execute activities.
• Ensure broad or “out-of-the-box” thinking, and a culture of continuous improvement is allowed to occur with respect to project execution to maximize value.
• Ensure work product quality meets required standards through direct review and/or third-party review.
• Ensure accurate and timely progress information is provided to senior management in the form of a monthly report.
• Participate in the development and review of Project execution plans and capital estimates; and
• Integrate new processing equipment into existing processing equipment without adversely affecting productivity.

• Must have a very clear understanding of Gold Process
• Slurry pumps, pneumatic pumps, Open and closed vane pumps, Crushers, mineral sizer, Conveyors, SAG Mill, Hydraulics, Gearboxes, Bearings, Shafts, Lube systems, fire systems, Gear pumps, piston pumps, apron feeders. belts drives, Couplings, Alignment, Conveyor Splicing, Rubber lining, Gravity Separation equipment.

• Mechanical trade certificate or diploma

• Maintenance Management Experience minimum 6 years involving multidiscipline that include Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation
• Previous experience in a large maintenance workshop, manufacturing or mining environment (10 years) Gold Producing Fixed plant.
• Minimum 10 years maintenance experience in mining/Processing Plant

• Good English/ basic French

• Available for a Fly-In/Fly-Out program (6 weeks on-site / 3 weeks off-site).
• Willingness to work in a multicultural and environment with mining camp living conditions.
