Scotmas Group is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to play a crucial hands‑on role in the design and manufacture of high‑quality chlorine dioxide products and technologies for water treatment, hygiene and biosecurity.

• Utilise 2D/3D CAD software to design and create engineering solutions
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop new products
• Ensure projects meet technical specifications and standards
• Perform computer simulations and experiments to virtually test and refine the designs
• Plan and execute mechanical designs using CAD, CAM, and 3D CAD programs
• Oversee the development and manufacturing of physical prototypes for testing
• Document the design process, iterations, and test analytics
• Ensure material stock levels are correct for projects
• Produce, update and store manufacturing drawings

• Proficient in 2D/3D CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Solid Works)
• Excellent communication skills
• A passion for innovation and technology
• Excellent attention to detail, verbal and written communication skills
• Analytical and strong organisational skills
• Conscientious & self‑motivated
• Pro‑active, “can‑do” attitude
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or relevant experience
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a mechanical design engineer
• Sound knowledge of design and engineering principles and best practices
• Experience of design stock listing with MRP systems
