HVAC Department Manager & Senior Project Manager

Mecwide Nordics AS, specializing in the mechanical erection of hyperscale Data Centers across the world, focusing in the Nordics (Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland). With a strong ambition to lead in one of the most demanding sectors in Europe, we are looking for a HVAC Department Manager & Senior Project Manager to take full responsibility of the Hvac project of the company.

The selected candidate will manage the full project lifecycle, engineering, procurement, installation, and commissioning—while also supporting the development and standardization of the HVAC department for future growth.

• Support the structuring and development of the HVAC department, including processes, methodologies, and technical standards;
• Act as the main technical reference for engineering and site execution teams;
• Contribute to the department’s strategy and long-term capacity building;
• Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and mentoring of new HVAC engineers;
• Promote continuous improvement and technical excellence across the organization;

• Lead HVAC project execution for large-scale Data Centers, from design review to final handover;
• Ensure compliance with project schedules, budgets, quality requirements, and safety standards;
• Coordinate engineering teams, suppliers, installation crews, commissioning teams, and client representatives;
• Validate technical solutions involving chilled water systems, refrigerant DX systems, heat pumps, heat recovery, ventilation, AHU/CRAH/CRAC units, BMS integration, and mission‑critical mechanical systems;
• Ensure adherence to relevant international and Nordic regulations, including F‑Gas Regulation, and local safety requirements;
• Ensure project delivery meets schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectives;
• The selected person will lead all operational, commercial, and strategic aspects of Mecwide Nordics’ HVAC projects;

• 10 years of experience in HVAC project delivery, ideally in Data Centers, industrial environments, or other mission‑critical facilities;
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems: chillers, pumps, hydronic networks, VRF, industrial ventilation, AHU and control systems;
• Proven experience working in international environments, in the Nordics are a plus;
• Leadership capability, with a mindset focused on team development and department growth;
• Solid understanding of applicable standards and regulations (F‑Gas, and Nordic compliance requirements);
• Fluency in English;
  Nordic languages are a plus;
• Availability to travel across Nordic project sites.
