** Job Description
** As a Data Engineer (Expert), you will serve as a technical leader in data engineering, specializing in the design, development, and maintenance of robust data pipelines and ETL processes.
Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping data architecture, optimizing data workflows, and ensuring data quality. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical leadership to achieve data-driven objectives.

* DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

*** Provides technical expertise, troubleshoots, guides and supports during design, development, testing, production, and post-production
* Develops and maintains scalable data pipelines to support continuing increases in data volume and complexity.
* Implements processes and systems to monitor data quality, ensuring production data is always accurate and available for key stakeholders and business processes that depend on it.
* Understand the source system, capture and document business rules
* Provides expert technical knowledge and solutions pertaining to Data Engineering.
* Identify opportunities to optimize the environment, implement monitoring, quality and validation processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
* Conduct unit testing and component integration testing for solutions developed
* Design and implementation of continuous integration and deployment

* Skills:

*** Must have strong SQL writing skills.
* Must be Detail-oriented and analytical
* Must have excellent collaboration skills and strong communication skills
* Experience with data pipeline design, optimization, data security and access controls
* Must be updated with emerging data technologies
* Must be proficient with SQL
* Must be proficiency with Git
* Must have experience in Unit Test/Test Driven Development
* Must have experience with or knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologies
* With excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
* With excellent oral and written communication skills with a keen sense of customer service

* QUALIFICATIONS:

*** Graduate of any data engineering-related bachelor's degree, or
* At least 3 years in a data engineering role
* Open to work in a hybrid setup and to report to BGC, Taguig
* Advanced SQL skill-set is essential
* Experience in Dev Ops concepts and has applied Full CI/CD processes
* Exposure in compliance with data Governance and Security policies
