Job Description
Successfully design, install, and commission the core transport network facilities locations to support voice, video, and data. Work with OSP Engineers on design and specification for fiber optic facilities, in aerial and underground designs. Support team troubleshooting efforts and address engineering inaccuracies. Specify procedures and requirements for the installation and turn up of all new transport equipment; prepare as-built, which include installed specifications and post-installation drawings.

Prepare cost estimates for individual projects (Labor, materials, equipment and overhead) and submit data to management for authorization approval. Provide input for Project Appropriation Request and Work Orders to management.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Leads, Supervise Core facility end to end from planning, engineering & implementation of all new core facility build program for Data Centers, Cable Landing Stations align with Globe Standards and Industry best practices covering all discipline from Civil, Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Sanitary and other accessories trade.

• Supervise Core facility end to end in implementing all upgrades and EUL change-out projects by providing guidance on strategy, timeline and interdependency resolution.

• Approves related facilities Design documents and structures on all subject matter of expertise from Civil Works, electrical works, mechanical works among others based on engineering standards.

• Develops process related to Core Facility scopes from planning to engineering and implementation flow in the following field;

• Methodology – improving approval flow and work breakdown statement

• Project Documentations – covers PM Plans, project report, change request, Kick-off activity, project meetings, Acceptance/Testing Documentation, As-builts and closed-out folders.

• Oversee and provide guidance on all Cap Ex/OpEx availment program to make sure availment and PO issuance on time and as per target.

• Develop strategy looking into possible savings from Bid award, value engineering scope, operational cost reductions.

• Collaborate with other domains and lead Core facility on the 3-year look ahead planning with budget costing on a YoY basis.

• Provides technical support to Operations team as needed on maintenance concerns needing project management strategy.

• Perform administrative scope as needed for staff under implementation unit.
