About the school

The British International School Riyadh (BISR) has provided high‑quality education to the expatriate community since 1979. Key responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and innovative music lessons to primary pupils (ages 4‑11).
  • Plan lessons in line with the English National Curriculum and the BISR strategic pillars of learning, enrichment and well‑being.
  • Use high‑quality assessment and feedback strategies to support student progress.
  • Create a positive climate for learning that fosters personal, social and emotional development.
  • Support the extensive co‑curricular programme and community events.
  • Act as Form Tutor, supporting students’ social, emotional and academic well‑being.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the school and contribute to the school’s mission, vision and motto.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years teaching experience.
  • Qualified Teacher status (UK or UK‑recognised).
  • PGCE or

    B.Ed. (Certificate of Education).
  • Relevant training or qualifications for the post.
  • Willingness to train with second‑language students.
  • Appreciation of a British school’s demands in an international context.
  • Commitment to the school’s co‑curricular life and to intercultural awareness.
  • Strong pastoral and emotional intelligence skills, with a sense of humour.
  • High expectations for self and students, empathy for all stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Time‑management and ability to direct teaching assistants.
