Position Overview

Corpus Christi Parish School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Long-Term Substitute Teacher for Middle School Math (Grades 6–8) to join our faith-filled learning community. This position offers a meaningful opportunity for an educator who is passionate about teaching mathematics and committed to supporting students academically, socially, and spiritually during the final weeks of the school year.

• Start Date: Early May
• End Date: June 5 (end of the school year)

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based math instruction aligned with middle school learning goals for grades 6–8.
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to support diverse learning styles and academic needs.
• Collaborate with middle school colleagues to ensure curricular alignment and instructional continuity.
• Use formative and summative assessments to guide instruction and monitor student progress.
• Integrate instructional technology effectively and responsibly, including Google platform tools.
• Maintain open, respectful, and professional communication with students and parents through conferences, phone calls, and progress updates.
• Create a safe, welcoming, and respectful learning environment that motivates students to grow academically and personally.
• Establish and maintain effective classroom management practices that promote responsibility, respect, and student engagement.
• Ensure the safety, supervision, and well-being of all students while on school premises.

• Support and actively contribute to the school's Catholic identity and culture.
• Model Christian values and virtues in word and action.
• Foster a classroom environment rooted in respect, compassion, and service.

• Work within a collaborative, faith-centered school community.
• Maintain professional, respectful relationships with faculty, staff, students, and families.
• Adhere to school policies, Archdiocesan guidelines, and confidentiality expectations.
• Demonstrate flexibility, reliability, and professionalism in a fast-paced school environment.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Highly organized with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and manage time effectively.
• Demonstrated professionalism, ethical conduct, and respect for confidentiality.
• Proficiency in educational technology, including the Google platform.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Valid teaching license or Archdiocesan equivalent to teach Math in grades 6–8
