Position SummaryOrientation Leaders (OLs) play a vital role in assisting new students at UIW with their transition to life at the University. OLs provide information about campus resources, help new students navigate campus, and share the mission with all incoming Cardinals. The Orientation Leaders report to the Admissions Event Manager.
Essential Functions- Walk students and families to various offices around campus.
- Assist with set up and tear down of orientation events.
- Meet, greet, and mingle with new students, parents, and guests.
- Answer repetitive questions while maintaining a friendly and customer service attitude.
- Attend mandatory meetings and trainings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Dedication and enthusiasm in welcoming new students and families to UIW.
- Dependable and responsible in job tasks and assignments.
- Shows respect for self and others.
- Has strong leadership skills.
- Has strong Cardinal spirit and pride for UIW.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
- Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.
Must be enrolled at UIW for Spring 2026 semester. Spring 2026 and Fall 2026 schedules must be submitted once you have received them.
Required Work ExperienceSix (6) months or more of customer service experience.

Required Certifications, Licenses or RegistrationsNone.
Work Hours8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on training days, 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. on orientation days.
Physical DemandsMust be able to conduct a walking tour of campus (often walking for up to one hour), stand for extended periods of time, lift around 20-25 pounds, withstand summer weather conditions.
