Position SummaryThe student office assistant provides assistance primarily to the Office of Academic Success and Student Affairs within the School of Rehabilitation Sciences. May provide some assistance within the dean’s administrative area as needed. The student office assistant reports to Student Affairs Coordinator.
Essential Functions- Greet visitors face-to-face and on the phone.
- Scan, copy and file documents.
- Deliver documents to faculty, staff and students.
- Research basic information for supply ordering or for report preparation.
- Organize materials for recruitment.
- Assist in the preparation and cleanup of special events and programming.
- Prepare and execute social media posts.
Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Powerpoint, Excel)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
- Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA .
Must be currently enrolled within a program under the School of Rehabilitation Sciences at UIW.
Required Work ExperienceNo previous work experience required.
Preferred Qualifications- Some experience with social media for an organization.
- Previous work in an office setting preferred.

Work HoursUsually 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday. Occasional evening or weekend work may be requested for special events.
Physical DemandsAbility to reach overhead, bend, squat to retrieve office & events materials.
