Position SummaryThe Student Assistant will support the accountants and staff in the Comptroller’s Office by assisting with accounting, clerical, and other duties as assigned. The Student Assistant will report to the Director of Financial Operations.
This position is funded by the Federal Work-Study program and is open to UIW students who are approved and eligible to participate in the Federal Work-Study Program.
Essential Functions- Assist Accountants.
- Post, scan and append journal entries.
- Assist with reconciliations.
- Create and/or update spreadsheets.
- Run errands within Main Campus.
- Communicate with and assist visitors when there is a limited staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities
- Proficient in Excel and Word.
- Consistent, dependable, and accurate in carrying out responsibilities.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to complete tasks with limited supervision.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
- Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.
Current UIW student approved and eligible to participate in the Federal Work-Study program.
Required Work Experience- Experience using excel.
- Basic computer experience using Microsoft Office.

Work Hours- Max of up to 20 hours a week depending on school schedule.
Ability to lift 10-20 lbs to move boxes to storage and/or shred bin.
