As a Security Officer Gated Community in Mission Viejo, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a residential location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and respond to residents and guests with professional customer service.

What You'll Do:

* Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, community policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

* Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disputes, suspicious activity, noise complaints, and medical situations, and notify the appropriate parties as required.

* Conduct regular and random vehicle and/or foot patrols throughout residential buildings, amenities, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity.

* Control access through gates, lobbies, and other entry points by checking identification, authorizations, and visitor information in accordance with site procedures.

* Monitor cameras, alarms, and access control systems when assigned, and report irregular conditions according to post orders.

* Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and shift activity documentation, and communicate relevant information during shift transitions.

* Assist with parking enforcement and traffic direction during peak periods, move-ins and/or move-outs, deliveries, and special community events as directed by site procedures.

* Perform customer service-focused resident assistance such as providing directions, responding to calls for service, and escalating maintenance and/or facility concerns to the appropriate contact.

* Support property management and local responders during emergency situations by providing information, coordinating access, and maintaining control of affected areas within assigned duties.

* Maintain a professional presence and appearance while following all Allied Universal and site-specific policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

* Access control/badge experience is preferred.

* Customer service experience is preferred.

* Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

* Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.

* Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
