Customer Service/Sales associates provide fast, friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance. These associates learn about products using our tools, and provide information to customers in order to sell an entire project.

• Greet customers and qualify their needs; recommend and close purchases in the department.
• Learn product information using company tools and stay informed about available items.
• Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas; ensure the store is clean, shop-able, and safe.
• Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following safety policies and completing required safety training.
• Immediately correct hazards or report conditions to the Manager on Duty.
• Work collaboratively with the Department Supervisor, teammates, and other departments.
• Be familiar with potential store departments (examples may include Building Materials, Décor, Electrical, Flooring, Garden, Hardware, Kitchen & Bath, Lumber, Millwork, Paint, Plumbing, Tool Rental).
• Role types may include Department Sales, Lead Generator, Pro Account Sales, Sales Specialist, Special Services, and Customer Order Specialist.

• Strong customer service skills and ability to assess customer needs.
• Willingness to learn product information and use sales tools.
• Ability to work in a team environment and support a safe, organized store.
