Litigation Attorney (Defense) – Trial-Focused Role
Our client is a boutique litigation and criminal defense firm built by former federal prosecutors that represents clients in high-stakes civil, criminal, and regulatory matters

They are seeking a Litigation Associate (3+ years) to work side-by-side with senior trial attorneys
, playing a hands-on role in preparing and trying complex defense cases.
This is not a back-office litigation role. This is for attorneys who want to be in court, in depositions, and in the war room.
What You’ll DoYou will be deeply involved in every phase of litigation, including:
- Drafting pleadings, complaints, answers, motions to dismiss, and dispositive motions
- Managing and conducting discovery (propounding, responding, and e-discovery)
- Taking and defending depositions (fact witnesses, experts, and parties)
- Drafting briefs, memoranda, declarations, and trial-prep materials
- Working directly with senior attorneys on case strategy and trial preparation
- Managing deadlines, filings, and court procedures
- Communicating with clients on case developments, risk, and strategy
- Supporting settlement negotiations and litigation budgeting
You will handle matters across:
Employment litigation, contracts, real estate, probate, civil litigation, family law, and complex disputes
Who They’re Looking For- 3+ years of civil litigation experience (California strongly preferred)
- Strong experience drafting motions, pleadings, and briefs
- Proven discovery and deposition experience
- Excellent legal research and writing skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced, trial-driven environment
- Strong client communication and professionalism
- California Bar in good standing
