** Job Overview**:

- Seeking a skilled Clinical Lab Scientist with a strong background in blood bank operations to join our trauma hospital team.

- Our facility handles frequent massive transfusions, so expertise in this area is crucial.

- Candidates must be prepared for potential floating between locations.
** Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform blood bank procedures including:

- AHG Cross match - Antibody Typing:
Tube Method - Electronic Cross match - Transfusion Reaction Workup - Conduct hematology and chemistry tests:

- CBC Manual - Manual Differential - Platelet Count - Sed Rate Manual - Utilize advanced equipment:

- ACL TOP - Sysmex XM - Maintain accuracy and efficiency within a fast-paced environment.
** Preferred Skills**:

- Experience in Commercial or Reference Laboratories and Trauma Level I facilities.

- Familiarity with charting systems, particularly Epic.
** Qualifications**:

- ** Required Certifications**:

- Certified California CLS - BLS
- ** Preferred Certifications**: ASCP
** Additional Requirements**:

- Must be open to accommodating block schedules at manager's discretion.

- Call required on occasion.

- Strong experience with neonates, infants, pediatric, and adult patient diagnoses preferred.
