Overview
Description Under general supervision by the RN, the dual role Unit Secretary/Telemetry Tech provides nursing staff with clerical and telemetry monitoring support to assist in facilitating patient care within their specified area. The Unit Secretary/Telemetry Tech is responsible for collecting and reporting information to the supervising RN and completion of all patient care related documentation.

- Collect and report information to the supervising RN.
- Complete all patient care related documentation.
- Coursework/Training:
For hires after 10/31/16:
Completion of a CNA program, or completion of first semester nursing program, or EMT program completion for hires to Emergency Services. - Successful completion of dysrhythmia course AND ability to pass rhythm recognition exam test for hires after 9/2018.
- Upon hire:
National Provider BLS - American Heart Association. - Experience with basic data entry.
- Coursework/Training:
Completion of a MA, CNA, EMT program, Military/Corpsman training or completion of first semester nursing program. - Coursework/Training:
Satisfactory completion of a medical terminology course, or knowledge of medical terminology. - 1 year of acute patient care experience, or 6 months experience in a direct patient care environment providing clerical or patient support related to provider, patient documentation or charting.
- 1 year relevant telemetry tech experience.

AdditionalInformation
Pay Range: $24.00 - $29.57. The base pay range may be supplemented by shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
