Physical Therapy Aide

Pay: $16.50/hr

Schedule: Part time - clinic open M-F 7am-7pm

Location: 26302 La Paz Rd, Mission Viejo, CA 92691

• Assist patients in transitioning to therapy areas, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Create a positive work environment and culture, ensuring patient needs are met during transitional periods; provide customer service with a smile.
• Prepare therapy equipment and treatment areas based on therapist instructions.
• Maintain organized patient records, schedule appointments, and handle billing procedures.
• Assist front office with tasks such as answering phone, scanning documents into charts, scheduling patients, taking over counter payments, filing, faxing, etc., when down time occurs.
• Assist therapists during therapy sessions by providing necessary materials and facilitating exercises.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of therapy areas and equipment; daily equipment cleaning, table cleaning, laundry, stocking supplies.

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in healthcare is a plus.
• Prior experience in a healthcare setting or as an occupational therapy aide preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach toward assisting individuals in need.

• Mobility:
  Move freely to assist patients and therapists.
• Lifting:
  Capable of lifting and carrying equipment or assisting patients as needed (up to 50 pounds).
• Standing:
  Extended periods of standing and walking during therapy sessions.
• Manual Dexterity:
  Proficiency in handling therapy tools and equipment.
