Supervisor Echocardiology
** Full-Time and will work 12-hour day shift

SALARY: $106,928 to $168,816

ORGANIZATION: Magnet designated hospital providing a full range of specialty health care services.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Positions available are full-time and will work 12-hour day shift.
- Supervises and coordinates daily operations of the Cardiology Department, in conjunction with the Manager of Cardiovascular Services/Nurse Manager, in order to ensure efficient operations and competent skill levels.
- Responsible for QI program development, implementation and follow-up.
- Responsible for recruitment and orientation of new employees as well as maintaining employee files, work schedules, annual reviews and competency testing.
- Act as a source of technical expertise in equipment needs.
- Responsible for all duties of a registered Echocardiographer as outlined in the Echocardiographer job description.
- Coursework/Training Completion of an AMA accredited Echocardiogram program (minimum of one year in length)
- Upon hire:
National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Or - Upon hire:
National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International Or - Upon hire:
National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Upon hire:
National Provider BLS - American Heart Association - 2 years Recent full-time experience in Echocardiography.
- 1 year Experience in acute care hospital setting
- Associate's degree in a related health care field Or Credentials with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or Cardiovascular Credentialing, International.
- Upon hire:
Membership in a professional organization such as the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, the Society of Vascular Technologists, or the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine or the American Society of Echocardiography - Recent supervisor or management experience
