Adapted Kinesiology Instructor Part-time Pool

Location Saddleback College / Irvine Valley College

Part-Time Faculty

• Instruct classes as assigned. Participate in general faculty functions related to the educational program and in-service activities. Assignments may include day, evening, and/or weekend courses.

The successful candidate must have fifteen (15) semester units of upper division or graduate study in adapted physical education AND meet one of the following criteria:

• Master’s degree in physical education, exercise science, education with emphasis in physical education, kinesiology, physiology of exercise, adaptive physical education from an accredited college or university; OR
• Bachelor’s in any of the above from an accredited college or university AND Master’s degree in any life science, dance, physiology, health education, recreation administration, kinesiology, physical therapy from an accredited college or university; OR
• A combination of education and experience that is at least the equivalent of items 1 or 2 above (candidates making application on the basis of equivalency must submit the Supplemental Application for Equivalency Determination form in addition to all other required materials); OR
• Valid California Community College instructor credential appropriate to the subject per Education Code 87355 (issued prior to July 1, 1990).

Part-time, temporary, hourly assignments are on an as needed basis.
