Starting Hourly Rate / Salario por Hora Inicial: $18.25 USD per hour

As an On-Demand Team Member (TM), you will not be included on the posted weekly schedule, but you can create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members via the myTime mobile scheduling app. Reliable attendance and active engagement (picking up at least one shift every 4 weeks, minimum four hours) are essential. If you do not respond to contact attempts or do not work at least one shift within 5 months, employment may be terminated.

You will attend a Target Welcome orientation and commit to a short-term training schedule before using the myTime app to pick up shifts.

Guest Advocates welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations, promote loyalty enrollment, and maintain store cleanliness. They are knowledgeable about in-store and digital services and solutions, and help guests with quick and easy shopping at checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up, and drive up while ensuring quality.

• Demonstrate a service culture prioritizing the guest experience by delivering the service standard
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks
• Engage with guests to understand and solve their specific needs
• Know tools, products, and services available in the total store to resolve issues and improve guest experience
• Thank guests and acknowledge their shopping choice at Target
• Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with food safety standards
• Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
• Inform guests about current and upcoming brand launches, store activities, and events
• Explain benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with enrollment; be familiar with fulfillment services and directing guests to enroll, activate, and use them
• Explain how to use Wallet and other Target App features
• Process returns following register prompts and escalate to leaders as needed
• De-escalate situations and recover the guest shopping experience per Target policies
• Deliver easy and accurate service for Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests
• Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and stock supplies during store hours
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely and report hazards
• Support guest services such as OPU, Drive-up orders and returns; comply with adult beverage laws where applicable
• Support cash office processes as needed
• All other duties based on business needs

• You are open to a flexible schedule with varying hours, days or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays)
• Effective communication, positivity, attentiveness to guests, and the ability to multi-task
• Ability to operate handheld scanners and other technology; work independently and with a team
• Capable of lifting up to 44 pounds with or without assistance; comfort working in varying temperatures
