The Environmental CDL Tech I position is a specialized, technical role requiring a high level of precision and a disciplined approach to field operations. Working out of the Mishawaka home location, this expert will focus on the safe and systematic operation of commercial vehicles, including Vac Trucks, Dump Trucks, Roll‑Off units, and 53’ Dry Vans, while maintaining a travel readiness of up to 50%.

Success in this role demands a technical specialist who can seamlessly transition from the cab of a truck to the field, where they will act as a supervised laborer for environmental remediation projects. This individual must possess the technical aptitude to use various hand and power tools, serve as a Confined Space Entry attendant, and manage the movement of client materials into specialized containers with exactness.

$26 - $30 hourly

• Safely operate various commercial apparatus, including 53’ Dry Vans, Vac Trucks, Dump Trucks, and Roll‑Off trucks and trailers.
• Maintain accurate DOT logs and perform digital ticketing in CRM systems.
• Perform the movement and loading of client materials into containers for transport.
• Ensure a safe work environment by identifying, communicating, and mitigating potential hazards.
• Act as a supervised laborer and attendant for Confined Space Entry Operations.
• Execute Drum Runs and assist in the loading and movement of field equipment and supplies.
• Utilize power washing equipment and a variety of hand and power tools.
• Participate in Emergency Response projects as requested.
• Travel out of town for up to a week at a time on a periodic basis.
• Collaborate in a team environment to ensure completed deliverables and client satisfaction.
• Perform general labor and all other duties as assigned by the Operations or Transportation Manager.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid CDL Class A with a Tanker endorsement.
• OSHA 10‑hour certification.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Possession of reliable transportation for reporting to work.
