Job Description
Repair and Tool Technicians are responsible for evaluating and repairing small engines, outdoor power equipment, and handheld electrical devices. They make equipment recommendations and ensure units are maintained. Technicians work both in our stores with Tool Rental Centers and in our repair centers. In stores, they provide service to customers, including writing rental contracts and invoices, checking equipment operation, and demonstrating proper use as needed.
They also handle the day-to-day operation and maintenance of equipment in the tool rental department. In non-store locations, technicians ensure units are repaired, tested for quality, cleaned, and returned to the originating store. Technicians must have thorough knowledge of all tools and manage the tool inventory effectively, maintaining and repairing tools as necessary.
