About MFG
MFG (Market Fresh Gourmet) is a growing multi‑concept restaurant group with four concepts in Mishawaka, IN:
Corndance Tavern, Bourbon & Butcher, Evil Czech Brewery, and Jesús Latin Grill & Tequila Bar. We operate a private event space, a locally sourced butcher shop, and a commissary kitchen that produces house‑made products for all locations.
We are seeking an experienced Line Cook to prepare and cook a variety of dishes for restaurant guests at any of our locations. The ideal candidate is passionate about quality food, manages multiple priorities, contributes to a friendly team atmosphere, and holds (or is willing to obtain) Serve Safe or Food Handler’s certification.
Responsibilities- Inspect and clean food preparation areas, equipment, work surfaces, and serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food‑handling practices.
- Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking quality, tracking inventory, and rotating stock.
- Store and cook food at correct temperatures by regulating ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
- Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience.
- Turn or stir foods to ensure even cooking.
- Respond to guest feedback with appropriate urgency and professionalism.
- Previous experience as a restaurant cook preferred.
- Serve Safe or Food Handler’s certification, or willingness to obtain it.
- Ability to lift 30+ lbs and work standing for 8+ hours. Benefits
