The licensed Registered Nurse (RN) plans and provides professional nursing services and standards of practice in accordance with level of experience, education, state board of nursing, and established policies and procedures. The RN integrates the art, science, leadership, and knowledge of nursing practice through relationship‑centered, compassionate, ethical, and respectful direct/indirect healthcare services.
Essential Functions• Act independently and appropriately within license, scope of knowledge and experience in practice area.
• Continually evolve with best evidence discoveries; provide leadership and retain accountability for delegation, choices, decisions and outcomes.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders and contribute to quality and improvement practices and outcomes.
• Exhibit willingness to take on new and additional responsibilities; embrace new ideas and cultural differences while managing competing priorities.
• Maintain professionalism in documenting, teaching, coordinating, and advocating within the ANA nursing process: assess, diagnose, outcome identification / solutions, plan, implement, evaluate.
• Conduct environmental checks and initiate evidence‑based practices for equipment and materials; promote optimal physical and psychological behaviors; influence responsible use of resources.
• Stay current on applicable federal, state and local regulations, Trinity Health Integrity & Compliance Program, Code of Conduct and other policies to ensure adherence.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice/employment.
• Valid driver’s license where required by assignment.
• Minimum five (5) years of equivalent experience in adult acute care clinical setting with direct patient care experience within the last 10 years.
• Clinical information systems experience (e.g., EHR).
• Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing.
• Specialty credentialing and educational degrees according to clinical nursing practice specialty area.
• Demonstrated competency in precepting, mentoring, training, teaching, or leadership or meeting competency requirements through current national certification in areas such as CAVRN, CCRN, CEN, CMC, CMSRN, CNRN, CNE, CSC, CV‑BC, GERO‑RN, MEDSURG‑BC, OCN, ONC, PCCN, SCRN, TCRN.
