Forensic RN – PRN (Rotating Shifts)

- Provide inpatient forensic nursing care in accordance with the Indiana Nurse Practice Act.
- Perform and document complete physical and forensic evidence collection examinations, including head‑to‑toe assessment, detailed genital examination, forensic specimen collection, photography, and mandatory reporting status assessment.
- Serve as factual witness to all cases and coordinate with attorneys during the judicial process.
- Take on‑call shifts as scheduled and respond within approximately 60 minutes of dispatch.
- Respond to subpoenas for cases handled through the Forensic Department.
- Graduate of an accredited RN program and current RN license (RN‑IN).
- Current BLS certification.
- Successful completion of Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) training and additional didactic and clinical hours related to domestic violence, strangulation, sexual abuse, child physical abuse, and elder abuse, completed within the stated timelines:
Adult/Adolescent SANE training.
Pediatric SANE training.
Advanced Strangulation Prevention course.
Critical‑care nursing experience required.
