What You’ll Do as a Program Coordinator

Primary duties as a program coordinator:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily assignments and procedures for unit staff
  • Development of new hires and program development for the child/adolescent direct care teams
  • Interact directly with youth and families. The frequency varies with needs, availability of residents, and acuity level
  • Interact frequently with therapists, physicians, and other employees involved in the case
  • Regular interaction with community resources, providers; coordinate services and referral sources such as DCS, court, probation, schools, and health care providers
Minimum Hiring Requirements
  • Bachelor s degree in social / human services related field preferred; OR
  • Associates degree with two years of experience working in a child caring institution; OR
  • HS diploma or equivalent with four years of experience working in a child caring institution, and two years of experience in a leadership capacity required.
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must have a valid driver s license
