Echo Technician

Contract Echo Technician position located in Mishawaka, IN 46545. The role involves performing diagnostic echo cardiographic procedures to assess cardiac structure, function, and hemodynamics during Monday‑Friday shifts from 07:00 to 16:30 (8‑hour days, 5 days per week). The position is full‑time, 40 hours per week in the EKG department.

• Minimum 2 years of Echo Technician experience
• BLS certification (required)
• Cardiac sonography credentials: ARDMS‑RDCS (Adult/Pediatric/Fetal) or equivalent CCI‑RCS/RCCS/RDCS
• Proficiency with Doppler, Color Flow, and advanced cardiac imaging techniques
• Experience using EPIC (EHR) and uploading images/documentation to PACS
• Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, hemodynamics, and sonographic principles
• Comfortable standing and performing repetitive scanning for long periods
• Ability to maintain exam rooms and equipment per safety standards
• Experience working in an EKG or Cardiology department setting
• Availability to work onsite in Mishawaka, IN and during the required shift

• Perform diagnostic procedures to assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics in accordance with accepted protocols.
• Set up and adjust all imaging equipment, manually maneuver transducers to conduct exams.
• Implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures.
• Conduct routine and complex studies and assist in a variety of imaging procedures.
• Recognize significant structures, artifacts, pathology, and equipment limitations.
• Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
• Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
• Ensure prompt submission of high‑quality images and documents to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers, and patient data/history).
• Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, and film storage.

Hours:

8 per day, 40 per week

• Contract wage: $2,348–$2,542 per week (depending on experience and qualifications)
