Overview
Position Summary
Responsible for the company’s consumer mortgage activities and mortgage loan portfolio. Establishes and implements mortgage objectives, policies and procedures; provides guidance to officers engaged in mortgage lending.
- Manages the consumer mortgage loan portfolio. Evaluates the loan portfolio and analyzes any developing trends. Reviews approved loans and delinquency reports to ensure that policies and practices are being followed.
- Develops, implements and revises lending policies and procedures for the mortgage area; keeps informed of lending trends in the mortgage industry.
- Directs the credit, collection and other support activities related to consumer mortgage.
- Partners with the operational team for a successful client experience.
- Sets and executes strategic initiatives to grow business, including third party partnerships.
- Manages a functional area and exercises the usual authority of a manager concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations, and terminations.
- Implements local policy and explanation of company programs, policies and objectives. Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations. Regularly participates in audits.
- Represents the company in various civic and community functions to further enhance its image and develop additional business.
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential requirement of the position.
- Responsible for the completion of all compliance training related to the position.
- Must understand all applicable laws and regulations that apply to the position and comply with the requirements.

Performs all other duties as assigned.
Experience/Skills- Ten (10) or more years of related experience preferred.
- Must have prior supervisory/management skills and experience.
- Strong time management skills.
- Good PC skills—proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel essential.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in written format.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Travel RequirementsAbility to travel to all locations as well as ability to travel overnight, as needed for meetings, projects, seminars, etc.
