Shift Availability: 20-30 hours per week (Tuesday - Saturday availability required). Hourly pay rate: 16.00/hr location: 2301 16th St SW, Minot, ND 58701.
About the RoleAs a Retail Sales Associate at Curaleaf, you’ll be the face of our brand and the go-to expert for our customers, helping them explore our cannabis products and delivering top-tier service with every interaction. You’ll work to create a welcoming, informative, inclusive, and engaging experience, helping guests explore our products and find the right fit for their needs. WhatYou’ll Do
- Customer Experience & Teamwork:
Greet and assist guests in a warm, professional manner; build genuine connections; offer personalized product advice; resolve issues to ensure customer satisfaction; encourage loyalty by signing guests up for rewards programs; contribute to a respectful, inclusive, and upbeat store atmosphere. - Operations & Store Standards:
Open/close the store, handle cash, follow procedures and regulations; check IDs and process transactions accurately; keep the store clean, organized, and stocked; assist with inventory, online orders, and product counts; meet or exceed daily sales goals through upselling and product knowledge; highlight deals and complementary items at checkout; stay informed about promotions and product updates; adapt to a fast-paced environment;
take on extra duties as needed.
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 6 months of customer-facing or sales experience with a focus on service and satisfaction.
- Minimum 6 months of experience using point-of-sale (POS) systems and handling cash accurately.
- Ability to thrive independently and in a team within a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional overnights.
- Excellent communication, multitasking, and organizational skills; ability to connect with customers and team members.
- Comfort with technology and willingness to learn new tools to support daily operations and engagement.
- Effective de-escalation techniques and a calm, solution-oriented approach to customer concerns.
- Basic math and computer skills to support transactions and reporting.
- Positive, proactive mindset and a collaborative team-first attitude.
- A natural ability to build rapport and lasting customer relationships.
- Background in sales with KPI tracking and meeting sales targets.
- Familiarity with e-commerce systems and order fulfillment processes.
- Experience in a regulated retail setting.
The physical demands described here are representative of those required to perform the essential functions of this job: regularly stand for extended periods; walk, talk, hear; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; use hands and fingers; reach with arms; lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds; close vision. This position may involve allergen exposure (dust, pollen, plant matter) and requires the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
