Overview
The CNA Training role prepares individuals to deliver safe, compassionate, and effective direct patient care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. This position participates in a structured training program designed to build essential clinical skills, professional behaviors, and practical knowledge needed to support patients’ personal care, comfort, and daily living needs. Trainees work alongside experienced caregivers in a collaborative, supportive team environment that emphasizes learning, respect, and patient-centered care.
Upon successful completion of training and certification, the role contributes to high-quality patient care across hospital, clinic, or long-term care settings, with a consistent focus on patient safety, dignity, and teamwork.
- Participate fully in the CNA training program, including classroom instruction, skills labs, and supervised clinical practice, in alignment with program requirements and policies.
- Learn and demonstrate fundamental nursing assistant skills, including personal care, mobility assistance, vital sign measurement, and basic patient observation.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living while maintaining respect, privacy, and comfort at all times.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and members of the care team to support coordinated and patient-centered care.
- Follow infection prevention, safety, and confidentiality standards, including proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to HIPAA guidelines.
- Complete required documentation and assessments accurately as directed during the training and clinical experience.
