Overview
The primary purpose of this position is to monitor and analyze world-wide all-source intelligence, collections, and operational information, and ensure situational awareness by advising senior leadership and customers across the wing on intelligence information; and to monitor and maintain compliance and currencies for Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities. This is a GG-12 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-12 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-12 level.
The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.
To qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
Experience RequiredYour resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: knowledge of a wide range of concepts, principles, and practices in interplay of geographical, political, military, economic, and industrial forces in various regions of the world as well as intelligence and FP/ AT threat entities, operations, and capabilities that may be directed against USAF, DoD, and other US resources.
Employee must also apply knowledge in US intelligence community policies, entities, missions, resources, operations, capabilities, databases, and requirements to perform intelligence research planning, operations collection, target analysis, and other intelligence collection related activities. As such, would be gained through extended graduate study or experience and skill in applying this intelligence knowledge to difficult and complex work assignments for the purpose of making recommendations in developing intelligence capabilities and threat assessments;
or a comprehensive, intensive, practical knowledge of intelligence field operations and skills necessary to the development of new methods, approaches, or procedures within the scope of duties and responsibilities of the position.
Note:
Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.
