Your role as a Senior Civil Engineer - Land DevelopmentIn the role of Senior Civil Engineer-Land Development Lead at Ackerman Estvold Engineering and Consulting, you will take the helm of our land development civil engineering team, leading strategic initiatives and fostering key client relationships across our North Dakota offices. This leadership-focused position goes beyond routine execution, offering you the chance to influence team culture and guide the strategic direction of our projects.
You will be responsible for managing multiple municipal, rural, and industrial projects while overseeing business development efforts that drive regional expansion.
Your technical proficiency in land planning and development will be coupled with proactive client engagement, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. As the primary point of contact for clients, you will maintain strong relationships and ensure satisfaction while mentoring your team members to promote their professional growth. Would you be a great Senior Civil Engineer - Land Development lead?To excel as a Senior Civil Engineer at Ackerman Estvold Engineering and Consulting, you will need a robust combination of education, experience, and interpersonal skills. A bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field is essential, along with a minimum of 7 years of experience in engineering and project management, preferably within the AEC consulting industry. Attaining a Professional Engineer (PE) license in a U.S. state is important, with the expectation to secure licensure in North Dakota promptly.
You should be a disciplined self-starter, capable of energizing and motivating a diverse team while building strong, lasting client relationships. Proficiency in project management software, AutoCAD, and the Microsoft Office Suite will be vital for effectively managing multiple projects and deadlines. Strong leadership, organizational skills, and excellent written and verbal communication abilities are crucial. You will also need sound technical fundamentals encompassing hydrology and hydraulics, along with creative engineering design and problem-solving skills to navigate challenges successfully.
