Position: Administrative Assistant I
Ward County Human Service Zone - Administrative Assistant I - Minot

Ward County Human Service Zone is looking to fill an Administrative Assistant I position. The purpose of this position is to provide administrative support services to Ward County Human Service Zone staff.

Position No. 51-5125

Administrative Assistant I example of duties:

* Perform receptionist duties for the agency's main reception area including, but not limited to, answering phones, making copies, assemble packets, troubleshoot all office machines, etc.

* Greeting and assisting all general public entering the office.

* Assist with opening daily mail and distribution.

* Maintain inventory of all necessary forms for entire organization.

* Liaison for maintaining knowledge of community services to assist clients

* Sending releases of information to agencies/schools/medical facilities

* Assist Foster Care Unit, In Home Unit and CPS with tasks as needed.

* Always maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

To be considered for this role:

* Associate's degree with emphasis in office related functions or customer service and one year experience; or high school diploma (or GED) with minimum of one year work experience in administrative setting.

* Must be able to work effectively in a complex work environment.

* Ability to interact effectively with client populations.

* Organization, attention to detail, critical thinking and able to make decisions through critical thinking are essential components.

* Must adhere strictly to confidentiality in all aspects of the position.

* Computer literacy and regular attendance is required.

* A high level of verbal and written communication skills is also required.

Candidates must successfully complete a standard background check.
