As a Security Officer - Access Gate Monitor PT in Minooka, IL
, you will safeguard clients in industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, deter security incidents, provide customer service and clear communication, and manage access points using computers or tablets while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Pay Rate: $20.81 / Hour

Mon: 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM

Wed: 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM

Sat: 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM

• Assist with access control procedures by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points at the manufacturing and industrial location.
• Provide customer service by responding to inquiries and assisting visitors, contractors, and employees as they enter or exit the premises.
• Monitor security-related systems such as cameras and alarms to deter unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to observe unusual activity or potential hazards.
• Document observations, incidents, and security-related activities according to Allied Universal and client site procedures.
• Coordinate with site management, emergency responders, and Allied Universal supervisors during incidents or emergencies.
• Follow all site-specific policies, procedures, and post orders related to access control and security-related responsibilities.

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
